Franciacorta

Franciacorta is a sparkling wine territory located in the heart of Lombardy, on the shores of Lake Iseo and extending across the gentle moraine hills for a total area of about 200 square kilometres. The extraordinary mineral richness of this area, together with the heterogeneity of its soils, is the distinctive element of a viticulture of excellent quality.

ART, NATURE AND SPARKLING WINE

The amphitheatre inside which Franciacorta has come to life is an area where art and history are surrounded by beautiful hilly landscapes, small stone villages, medieval towers and castles, palaces that date back to the 16th century and places where spirituality is the key.

2. Benedictine Olivetan Abbey of St Nicholas

An important religious complex of great spiritual importance and of considerable historical and artistic interest which testifies the authenticity of the motto “ora et labora”. It is the largest inhabited lake island in Europe, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, which is characterized by a timeless atmosphere and the absence of car traffic.
